The fire broke out on the first floor of an apartment building in Cologne-Mülheim on Monday night, according to the Cologne fire brigade. The resident of the apartment that caught fire escaped to safety. Emergency services released two people from the second floor and two people from the third floor of the house with a ladder. The four residents were unharmed. The flames were quickly put out. 49 emergency services from the fire brigade and the rescue service were deployed. Police are now investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
