For the time being, the parental fire brigade can no longer rely on the 2000 Euro subsidy from the municipality for the celebration of the inauguration of the new depot. The corresponding resolution on the earmarked funds has been repealed by the city council. Andy Kehrer explained that the celebration had not taken place and that it was unclear whether it would be made up for. As the alderman of the city of Zwönitz – both cities cooperate in an administrative community – said the money is also needed to compensate for a deficit of 5,000 euros caused by the fire brigade for various reasons. The military management agreed. More money comes from planned but not used training costs. At the same time, according to Kehrer, the service instructions for assignments by the fire brigade have been tightened in order to avoid such financial gaps in the future. (kjr)
