The deceased sailor on ship MSС MESSINA during a fire turned out to be a 20-year-old guy from Odessa.

This was his second voyage. The incident occurred on June 25, but from that moment the crew was without communication on the emergency ship.
The MSC MESSINA was sailing from Sri Lanka to Singapore. Halfway between Sri Lanka and the Strait of Malacca, a fire broke out in the engine room of the ship. The rest of the crew are on the emergency ship.

Note that the speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Nikolenko said that Ukrainian diplomats are checking the presence of Ukrainians on the lit board of MSC MESSINA.
