The draw for the World Cup qualification phase 1 for the 26th IHF Women’s World Championship 2023 brought Austria’s handball women’s national team Finland. In the first leg on 2./3. November is held, one initially enjoys home rights, on 5./6. The return leg in Finland follows in November.
“I see it as our duty to survive phase 1,” made Team leader Herbert Mueller already in the run-up to the draw made no secret of his expectations. The draw in Vienna gave his team Finland in phase 1 of the World Cup qualification.
The only duel in history between Austria and Finland so far was decided by Rotweißrot as part of the C World Cup in 1986 on October 31, 30:14. Whole message
