Since Saturday July 25, following the decisions of the National Security Council, and no longer obligations already in force (wearing a mask compulsory in stores and shopping centers, cinemas, theaters or conference rooms, audiences, places of worship, museums, libraries, casinos and automatic gaming halls, justice buildings), wearing a mask is also compulsory in the following places throughout the territory:
– in markets, flea markets and fairgrounds;
– in shopping streets and any private or public place with high traffic, as defined by local authorities;
– in all public buildings for parts accessible to the public;
– in HoReCa establishments, except when people are seated at their tables.
But, the epidemiological situation being disparate between the various communes of the country, the local authorities now have a preponderant role to play. The mayors can indeed impose certain rules according to the evolution of the virus in their municipality.
The measures are therefore very different from one municipality to another, and it is sometimes difficult to navigate. Wearing a mask compulsory or not, cancellation of certain events, access to certain prohibited places, we have listed, by municipality, the decisions that have been taken at local level, both in the Brussels and Walloon regions.
Hover your cursor or click on your town and find out about the measures in force.
These measures are subject to change at any time and our map is updated regularly. If you have any information to give on this subject, do not hesitate to contact us via our button alert us.
