Deteriorating financial condition of “ViK” EOOD – Plovdiv is also the reason for the Board of Directors of “Bulgarian Water and Sewer Holding” EAD to change the manager of the operator, the holding announced. The long-time chief engineer of the operator – Eng. Anton Galabov takes over the management of the company.
The reason for the change of management is the unsatisfactory financial management in the last two years, which led to the uncovered loss of the company as of September 30, 2023 in the amount of over BGN 16 million.
The main priority of the management of the waterworks holding is to analyze the real financial situation of all subsidiaries and to propose measures for the recovery of the waterworks operators.
The goal is a reform that will implement real measures for the financial stabilization of water supply operators with a new management that will also implement measures to modernize the water and sewage networks, to reduce losses and to provide better services to citizens in accordance with European directives.
