The final of the Junior Songfestival takes place this year on September 26 in Rotterdam Ahoy. AVROTROS reports this in a press release on Monday.
It is the first time that the national final of the children’s song contest takes place in the Netherlands. However, in 2007 the European version of the Junior Songfestival was organized in Ahoy.
The final will be hosted by Buddy Vedder and Romy Monteiro. The winner may represent the Netherlands in the international final that takes place in Poland.
The corona measures will be relaxed as of 1 July, but AVROTROS reports in the press release that it has been decided that only family members may come to watch the performances of the children. AVROTROS calls it “irresponsible to have so many children from all over the Netherlands come together singing, dancing and screaming”.
