It’s not for now, but we’re already curious! The specialized American site Kotaku spotted a news that nobody really expected: the preparation of an MMORPG in the world of Final Fantasy XV… on mobile. Square Enix is obviously in charge of the project, in partnership with the South Korean studio JSC Games and the Chinese mobile gaming specialists from GAEA Mobile. On the program, an online adventure that will take place in parallel with the adventures of the Noctis clique, after it starts its journey at the start of the XV. We should therefore find the rather dark atmosphere of this episode which contrasted with the rest of the franchise.
The project is still in production but we already have a lot of info on the gameplay. The game will offer entire regions to explode and the devs seemingly want to keep the flashy fights that we love so much in this series, with touch controls (necessarily). It can send heavy, when we see the success of certain titles like Lineage 2: Revolution, which adapts the MMO formula to smartphones. On the timeline side, a trailer for this new Final Fantasy XV is expected for the “first half of 2020”. It will be an opportunity to scrape some other info, like a release date? And if you really need to carry around with FF15 in your pocket (you never know), the Pocket Edition was not yucky.
