Fans had to wait a long time for the release, in April of this year the time had come: Final Fantasy VII Remake was ready for sale. Now Square Enix has announced that it has reached a sales milestone.

In a press release, the company now confirms that Final Fantasy VII Remake has now sold more than five million times on the PS4. This new milestone covers both the sales of the classic box version and the digital version.
The title set another record for Square Enix: It is the company’s fastest-selling digital title on a PlayStation platform in its entire history.
To celebrate the new brand, the game is available through August 19 at a 34 percent discount on the regular retail price on PlayStation Store. In addition, the retail version will be reduced accordingly at participating retailers from August 17th. In the PlayStation Store you can use a published demo to get an idea for yourself if you are still unsure whether to strike or not.
