Film-Porsche brings in mega amount: well-known ex-owner furious (with himself) | Car

The black Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 from the cult film Bad boys (1995) has been auctioned in the US for more than 1 million euros. The former owner is furious – at himself.

The 911 Turbo 3.6 (from the 964 series) has been auctioned for a hefty 1.3 million dollars, about 1.1 million euros. The buyer who was willing to pay that much money for the gleaming black Porsche will no doubt be happy, but the original owner of the movie Porsche is not.

That is the director of the film from the nineties, Michael Bay (56). As the director and producer of, among other things, the film Pearl Harbor writes in an Instagram post from 2001, at the time he had made his private Porsche available for the recording of Bad boys. He later sold the 964 Turbo to a friend for $60,000 (almost $53,000).

“Man I was stupid”

Given the exorbitant price for which the Porsche now went under the hammer, he regrets that: “Man, I was stupid not to keep it,” writes Michael Bay. “I sold it to a friend at the time because I liked it.”

That friend is probably even less happy. According to Michael Bay, he sold the Porsche film for only $45,000 (about $40,000).
