Copenhagen, Denmark – the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen, in collaboration with Cinemateket, will screen the architectural film “Beyond the Life of forms” on October 1, 2025, at 5:30 PM local time.the film explores the Brion cemetery designed by Carlo Scarpa and the San Cataldo cemetery by Aldo Rossi, examining themes of memory, silence, and ritual within iconic 20th-century cemetery architecture.
The screening is part of the larger Copenhagen Architecture Forum (CAFX), running from September 18 to October 10, which this year focuses on the theme of “Slow Down”-investigating architecture’s potential to address urban overheating and social issues. “Beyond the Life of Forms” offers a contemplative cinematic journey through these spaces, prompting reflection on their deeper importance.Architecture historian Martin Søberg of the “Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi” will introduce the film.
