Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, sent a message to Al-Ahly and Zamalek players ahead of the two teams’ upcoming match in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday. Stressing the need to uphold the spirit of honest competition and sportsmanship.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said in an official statement: “The spirit of fair competition and sportsmanship must be promoted during the summit match, which is watched by millions in Egypt and the Arab countries, given the great popularity enjoyed by the two poles of Egyptian football.”
And he continued, “which places on all players and the technical and administrative bodies a great responsibility to show their sportsmanship.”
He continued, “The match must reflect the state of stability witnessed by the Egyptian sports system in various fields, especially in light of the great interest of the political leadership in sports in general.”
The Ministry of Youth and Sports had adopted a number of sporting initiatives, the latest of which was the “Your Bike is Your Health” initiative.
And the statement of the Minister of Youth and Sports continued: “This places a great responsibility on the Egyptian sports system to work to bring it to global levels in various technical, administrative and organizational fields and of course to international levels in its various technical, administrative and organizational fields, and of course the appearance of all its events and competitions in an honorable manner that befits With Egypt’s reputation and leadership. “
He concluded, “The Egyptian government is following the fields of sport, as we witnessed recently during the activities of the Sports Festival in Alamein, and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly was keen to send messages to citizens about the importance of practicing sport in our daily life.”
Al-Ahly faces Zamalek on Saturday evening at Cairo International Stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.
