The CAF Confederation Department has clarified the position of the return of the African competitions in the coming period, and the possibility of opening a replacement.
Shiho Deco, member of CAF Competition Department, told FilGoal.com: “So far, there is nothing new regarding the future of the African Championships officially.”
“We previously decided to postpone the semi-finals in the Champions League and the Confederation, and to postpone the other competitions. We are waiting for the situation in Africa to stabilize with regard to the Corona virus, and then we will determine everything,” he said.
Deco I follow, “We asked countries to determine the future of their patrols until the vision becomes clear to us. We will not rush to take any decision because our goal is to ensure the safety of all, and there are no proposed dates so far for the return of activity in the African championships, but we will wait and see.”
“We have not discussed anything about the regulations, we will see what happens and then we will decide,” he said.
Some Moroccan reports have indicated that the Champions League final may be transferred from Cameroon to Morocco or Rwanda.

Earlier, the Confederation of African Football Confederation CAF had announced the suspension of the CAF and the Confederation Championships indefinitely due to the outbreak of the Coruna virus in the African continent.
The CAF and CAF competitions have reached the semi-finals.
Egypt is represented in the African Champions League, Al-Ahly and Zamalek. Al-Ahly plays with Wydad Casablanca, while Zamalek meet Raja Casablanca.
Pyramids will represent Egypt in the African Confederation after the exit of the Egyptian club, and Pyramids will meet Horoya Conakry in the semi-finals.
