Hossam Al-Zanati, Director of Competitions Department in the Egyptian Football Association, believes that Zamalek’s resort to the International Sports Court to complain that he was a loser at the top of the league against Al-Ahly, will not result in a new for the white club.
Al-Zanati relied on a similar incident in the 2013 Ukraine Cup, and considered that the decision issued by the International Sports Court at the time would be repeated with Zamalek.
Al-Zanati declared via OnTime Sports 2: “Where will Zamalek be dark? The statute of the constitution, article 45 of the judiciary, stipulates that no element of the Egyptian Federation has the right to resort to ordinary courts, and the FIFA regulations obligate the National Federation to include this clause in it.”
He added: “The litigation body is the Football Association, the grievances committee is addressed, then the International Sports Court.”
He continued: “The matter on which any club relies on its complaint is force majeure. This is what the International Sports Court considers, defining it as an irresistible and unpredictable obstacle and making the commitment impossible.”
He continued: “This phrase must be interpreted in the strictest limits, because otherwise it will be used to justify non-compliance with the most basic obligations of clubs, which is going to football matches.”
He continued: “Let me reclaim a previous similar incident that occurred in the 2013 Ukraine Cup, a round of 16 match between Dnipro and Odessa.”
He reviewed: “The distance between the two cities is 460 km, and the day before the match, Dnipro moved by plane at 4:30 pm, and arrived at five and 10 minutes in the evening, but weather conditions prevented the plane from landing, so it returned to Dnipro at six and 10 minutes.”
He continued: “The Dnipro administration was in front of two solutions, either by commuting by train because visibility was weak on this day and the accident rate is high, but it was impossible to find reservations for 40 people for the train that will move at half past seven in the evening.”
He added: “The second option is the independence of the bus, it was also excluded, because the local Dnipro police issued a statement that buses do not take long distances because the visibility is weak.”
He continued: “And so they settled on traveling the next day in the morning of the match, and booked a plane that moved at noon and arrived in Odessa in the second and 10 minutes in the evening, but the same position of the previous day was repeated again, and could not land, so they returned their stairs.”
He revealed: “The case was transferred to the International Sports Court, when they stipulated that there was goodwill, and they told them that they did not exhaust all travel routes, because there was a train at nine and 40 minutes on another line. Also, the police recommended not to travel, and did not prevent it.”
He continued: “If it was not possible to land in Odessa, why did it not land in a city near it, and why was it not controlled in a more appropriate date on the morning of the match? Therefore, the invitation was rejected and Dnipro considered the match’s loser.”
Super match date
Al-Zanati talked about the scenes of hosting the Super Game: “After the match was postponed, we set February 20 as the date for the first-round summit, but the Five-Year Committee saw that February 20 is an appropriate date for the establishment of the Super because it will enter large sums on the Union, a project they worked on for a long time, so I told them that No problem, provided the League match is played on February 24. “
He added: “How long do I have to postpone the match? The match is basically postponed from October, so why is it postponed again? It was decided before we knew who would play in Africa on February 28 or 29. Why does Al Ahly and Zamalek not play every 4 days?”
Postponement of the summit of the first round
He stressed that the postponement of the first round summit came for purely security reasons: “Any person who takes a new position has great ambitions and a desire to amend the path, and therefore our statements stem from this idea, we meant that no match will be postponed by a telephone handset or in implementation of a club request.” .
He continued: “The easiest thing to do was to avoid all the confusion surrounding the first round postponement from its original date, that we had to make the draw as it was before, to be played at the end of the round, and at the time of it, no one would object.”
“He confirmed: The match was postponed at the direct request of the security authorities, the matter is settled, and I cannot ask the security forces why the match was postponed.”
He explained: “When I presented the Arab Contractors match to Zamalek, it was my desire that Zamalek not stay a whole week without playing after the fourth round summit was postponed.”
He revealed: “Another problem that I faced was not taken into account, which is the replay of the Zamalek match and the Generation Football Senegal.”
He asked, “As long as we do not resort to the drawn lottery, what motivates us to postpone the game other than requesting security? It was first that we postpone the match from February 24 in the shortage of crowds.”
He asked again: “Who is in his interest to postpone the match? An ambitious person has held a position with 26 years of age and is trying to prove himself to the world and that he wants change, so why postpone the match by his will?”
He added: “We did not postpone any matches throughout the season except for the October 19 summit with a security request, and my matches Al-Ahly and Zamalek against Enppi and Al-Masry due to the African Union changing the dates of its matches.”
He continued: “The Al-Ahly and El-Gouna match was postponed until after the nations of Africa under 23, and was not postponed. Rather, the matches were played in the same order, and after the intervention of the Minister of Sports, it was the highest sporting authority, and when he interferes in the envelope, how can I speak?”
And he justified: “(Who does not have a media-back, he grows up), I dealt with the media file differently from my predecessors. This is my second appearance on TV since my work in football. People do not know my appearance. They say that I am arrogant or arrogant to journalists, and this is completely unreal. I am a person involved in the competitions file, so what should enter me in the media affairs? “
