Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has returned his coaching of the red team due to his successes with the South African Sundowns.
Musimani said on Al-Ahly channel: “Sundowns is a big team, and we used to take Al-Ahly as an example to follow and praise him in front of the players for achieving his similar achievements, and had it not been for what I achieved with Sundowns, I would not have taken over the training of the red team.”
Regarding the Talaia Al-Jaysh match, he said: “I did not plan to score a goal in the first minute in front of Al-Talaa, but it is a sentence that we always train for and I was happy to implement it in the match.”
“I blamed the players for the Wydad goal against us, even though it was a goal, and I prefer the result to be 4-2 instead of 4-0 or 6-3 instead of 6-0.”
He continued, “Before I took over Al-Ahly training, I searched for the players and found some of its well-known stars still with the team, such as Ahmed Fathy and Walid Suleiman, who are among the stars of the African continent.”
“Our biggest goal is to win the African Championship, and we will all fight to achieve this,” he concluded.
