Karim El Iraqi celebrates Al-Masry’s goal in Qena with Ahmed Yasser
Abdul-Zahir Al-Saqqa, sports director of Al-Masry Club, decided to impose a fine on Karim Al-Iraqi, the right back of the team, because of “breach of instructions.”
Al-Masry’s decision was due to “violating the instructions of the ball system not to speak to the media except with the approval of the sports director,” according to an official source inside the club who spoke with FilGoal.com.
The source, who preferred not to be named, pointed out that “the player made statements related to other club negotiations, which did not rise to the level of official negotiations or did not occur at all.”
For his part, Karim Al-Iraqi was keen to apologize to Abdul-Zahir Al-Sakka.
Karim al-Iraqi went out earlier to comment on the news of Ahmed Fathi’s departure from Al-Ahly, noting that “Al-Ahly currently has Mohamed Hani, and he will definitely search for a right back next to him, which provides an opportunity for several players, not just me, to be in Al-Ahly.”
He added “Any negotiations with Al-Ahly will definitely be through the Egyptian club, they were consultations from Zamalek, but they did not reach the level of formal negotiations … The affiliation has nothing to do with a personal interest, I will move to the club in which my opportunity is greater, Al-Ahly and Zamalek are two great clubs. Karim Al-Iraqi, the Egyptian Olympic team back, extends his contract with Al-Masry for up to two years.
