FilGoal | News | After Al-Masry and Smouha’s request, the Football Association: Clubs have no right to interfere in the selection of referees

On Friday, the Egyptian Football Association issued a statement on its official page, during which it stressed the rejection of clubs’ requests not to assign their matches to referees with their own eyes.

The statement said: “The Football Association refuses to interfere in the work of the Referees Committee.”

“The Egyptian Football Association confirms its complete confidence in the Egyptian soccer referees and confirms that the referees committee is the only one assigned to appoint the referees to manage all local matches and no club has the right to object to this or demand the opposite of that, and that any departure from these rules will offer their owners Accountability according to the regulations governing competition and discipline.

Al-Masry and Smouha had requested not to assign their matches to referee Mohamed Adel, who managed the first meeting against Zamalek on Thursday, with the resumption of the Egyptian Premier League after a 5-month hiatus. (the details)

Al-Masry officials protested about Adel, because of his decision not to count a penalty for Al-Masry when he used the video in the 90th minute after fusion in the Zamalek penalty area between the last player Ferjani Sassi and Ziad Faraj, the Egyptian player.

Al-Masry lost the match with a goal scored by defender Mahmoud Alaa.

Adel managed two games for Smouha in the current season of the league in which the team tied against Al-Ahly and Military Production with a goal to match it.
