Fighting in Donbass-Zelensky named Ukrainian Armed Forces target number one on the front – UNIAN

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky notes that the Russians felt they were losing and are trying to delay this moment.

He said it in his video message.

“The situation is particularly dire in the Donetsk region. We are doing everything we can to contain enemy activity. That is where our number one target is now, since Donbass is still the number one target for the occupiers.” said the head of state.

He added that despite the blatant nonsense of the war for Russia and the invaders’ loss of initiative, the command of the Russian army still carries them to death.

“The continuing attempts of the Russian offensive in the Donetsk region will certainly go down in wars history as one of the most cynical murders of their own soldiers. When we see this, when we see these offensives, we are once again convinced that Russian mobilization is a franc. attempt to provide ground commanders with a steady stream of “cannon fodder,” Zelensky said.

The president added that “there is simply no other meaning in the Russian mobilization”.

“They felt they were losing and they are just trying to delay this moment, to ensure at least some activity at the front, to at least put someone with a weapon in their hand instead of the dead,” he said.

At the same time, the head of state stressed, Russian society is still not aware of all the cruelty of the Russian authorities towards their own people.

“But everything must be done so that every Russian citizen admits that his state deprives him of the most important thing: the right to life”, summed up Zelensky.

As previously reported by UNIAN, according to Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar, the Donetsk region is now the epicenter of the enemy’s offensive operations and the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces continues in other areas.

“Today the enemy, namely the Russian Federation, still has the task of reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk region and, in fact, they are trying to do so very powerfully,” Malyar stressed.

Mobilization in the Russian Federation

September 21 Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the mobilization Russian military personnel in the reserve. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu then said that about 300,000 people were expected to be mobilized.

Experts note that even this limited mobilization will be very unpopular with some of the Russian population and Putin is taking significant political risks in hopes of building the necessary fighting power. Also note that this step is actually an acknowledgment that Russia has exhausted the supply of ready-to-fight volunteers in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine Zelensky stressed that the criminal mobilization announced in Russia is not only a continuation of the suffering of the Ukrainians, but also a severe blow to the indigenous peoples of Crimea, Dagestan, the Caucasus, Siberia.

According to him, this mobilization is an element of the genocidal policy of the Russian Federation, so an immediate and harsh reaction from the whole world is needed.

The permanent representative of the president in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Tamila Tasheva said this in a few days Crimean Tatars in occupied Crimea already distributed 1.5 thousand citations.
