12 North Korean aircraft reportedly flew close to South Korean airspace. The South Korean military said eight fighters and four bombers flew in what appeared to be a combat-ready formation. The planes conducted the exercise north of the inter-Korean airspace. In response, South Korea would have deployed 30 fighter jets. The tension between South Korea and North Korea has intensified in recent days. After testing two more ballistic missiles on Thursday, North Korea conducted warplane training in the region.
