FIFA’s new e-football strategy

When Zurich speaks, the football world listens carefully. That was also the case in mid-October – only it wasn’t about classic lawn sport. The Swiss-based world football association FIFA announced at the time that it would reorganize its esports competitions and bundle them under the newly developed brand name FIFAe.

With the FIFAe World Cup, which was held for the first time in 2004, as well as the FIFAe Nations Series and the FIFAe Club Series, the association claims it is targeting three target groups: players, clubs and countries. FIFA announced that they all wanted a platform to perform at their best on the console.
