Kevin Fiala and the Wild are in great shape. Minnesota picked up its fourth straight NHL victory on Monday thanks to two more points from its St. Welsh striker.

Named first star, Kevin Fiala scored a goal – 4-2 – and signed an assist in a game won 5-2 against the Arizona Coyotes. He now has 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists) in his personal counter, in 40 matches played this season.

This victory allows the Wild to consolidate its 3rd place in the West Division, its margin over the Coyotes (4th) being 14 units. Beaten for the sixth consecutive time on Monday (3-2 tab against Vegas), the Sharks of Timo Meier are in 6th place, 5 lengths from Arizona.

Note that the San José center Patrick Marleau played on this occasion his 1768th game in the regular season. The 41-year-old Canadian surpasses legend Gordie Howe, who so far held the record for the number of matches played in the NHL.
