‘Feyenoord still reaches agreement with transfer-free Linssen’ | NOW

Feyenoord still seems to strengthen itself with Bryan Linssen. The transfer-free attacker from Vitesse previously rejected an offer from the Rotterdammers, but both parties have yet reached an oral agreement.

According to WE and the AD Feyenoord hopes to present Linssen on Monday. Linssen stopped negotiations last month because he was not happy with the first proposal. Technical director Frank Arnesen of Feyenoord contacted him this week and they came out after all.

Feyenoord sees in Linssen the replacement for Luis Sinisterra, who has been out for months because of a serious knee injury. Earlier this week, the club took the transfer-free young German attacker Christian Conteh (20) from FC St. Pauli to the position of left winger, but he will first have time to get used to it.

Linssen played for Vitesse since the summer of 2017. He came to 113 official games, scoring 47 goals and delivering 20 assists. In the past he also wore the shirt of FC Groningen, Heracles Almelo, VVV-Venlo, MVV Maastricht and Fortuna Sittard.

Feyenoord is still very active on the transfer market. The number three of the prematurely ended season in the Eredivisie, in addition to that of Conteh, also secured the arrival of midfielder Mark Diemers, who was taken over from Fortuna for an amount of around 1 million euros.

Drost returns to PEC

Jesper Drost returns to PEC Zwolle after five years. The 27-year-old midfielder comes transfer free from Heracles Almelo and signs a one-year contract at the MAC³PARK stadium with an option for another season.

“It is no secret that I had the best years of my career at PEC Zwolle. Here I made my debut, played for the first time in the Eredivisie and won prizes. In recent years I have also gained experience elsewhere”, says Drost on the website van PEC.

“Now the opportunity presented itself to return to PEC Zwolle. A lot has changed in the past five years, with the transition to grass as the most recent change, but fortunately much is still the same. That makes it really feel like coming home I am really looking forward to entertaining the audience here again. “

Drost previously played at PEC between 2010 and 2015, with which he became champion in the Eerste Divisie and won the KNVB cup and Johan Cruijff Schaal. He then left for FC Groningen, but there, just as with Heracles, he was a lot less successful.
