Fewer corona patients in Belgian hospitals Abroad

In total there are 3,044 corona patients in a hospital. The number of people in intensive care dropped by 19 to 655. “The trend is very positive,” virologist Steven van Gucht said at the daily press conference.

The number of newly detected infections rose by 361, a few tens less than a day earlier. Eighty deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, 41 of which were in hospitals, and 39 in residential care centers. This brings the total number of deaths to 7,924.

During the past week, between 20,000 and 25,000 tests were performed daily. This will be further increased in the coming days, partly because more people are active again due to the reopening of many companies.
