“Ferrari CEO announces 2026 delivery waitlist as demand for purebreds exceeds supply”

“We were very surprised by the strong interest,” Benedetto Vigna, the automaker’s chief executive, said on a sales conference call with investors and analysts late last week.

According to him, anyone who orders a new car will have to wait for delivery at least until 2026, i.e. roughly three years. The reasons include, in particular, the automaker’s commitment that purebreds will never make up more than 20% of the automaker’s annual production in order to maintain exclusivity. Because of her, Vigna also confirmed again that the automaker is not going to extend the life cycle of the model, despite the demand.

There is also great interest in other cars of the brand. A few weeks ago, the automaker announced that cars ordered around this time will be delivered “well into 2024.” The automaker delivered 3,567 cars in the first quarter of this year, almost a tenth more than in the same period last year.
