Mattia Binotto said earlier that things have to change at the Scuderia and this time Ferrari seems to be working on it immediately. According to the Italian Formula One Technical Analysis the team from Maranello will come up with a new car this season. According to the Italians, Ferrari would have started developing a new car some time ago.
The new car is built on the basis of the collected data. Most likely, the data collected during the test weeks in Barcelona plays a major role in the development process of the new car. During those test weeks, Binotto already indicated that Ferrari had many problems with the SF1000. They have therefore started to build a new car and it will also look drastically different from the outside.
For example, the nose is significantly overhauled, since they have reportedly opted for a model that is more like the current Mercedes nose. However, the Italians do not want to follow the Germans completely and have designed a new car at their own discretion. However, making the new car takes a lot of time, so we will probably not see the new car in action until the Spanish Grand Prix in mid-August, the Italian medium predicts.
At Silverstone, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will still have to make do with the current SF1000 version. In Great Britain, therefore, not much can be expected from the Ferrari drivers.
