Former Kadiv Propam Polri Ferdy Sambo has sued the president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the national police chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo to the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN). Sambo contested his dismissal as a member of the National Police.
Reporting from the PTUN Jakarta Case Tracing Information System (SIPP) website, Sambo filed a lawsuit today, Thursday (12/29). The case was registered under case number: 476/G/2022/PTUN.JKT.
“The plaintiff’s request was accepted in full”, reads the petitum of the petition, quoted on Thursday (29/12).
In his petitum, Sambo requests the Jakarta State Administrative Court to declare null and void Jokowi’s decision (Defendant I) as Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia number: 71/POLRI/Year 2022 regarding disrespectful dismissal of senior police officers on 26 September 2022.
PTUN Jakarta was also asked to order Listyo (defendant II) to place and reinstate all Sambo rights as a member of the Indonesian National Police.
“Punishing Defendant I and Defendant II jointly pay the costs of the matter arising out of this matter,” Sambo said in his application.
Sambo was dismissed from the National Police following the alleged premeditated murder case of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. He is currently standing trial for this case and the alleged obstruction of the investigation in the South Jakarta (PN) District Court.
Based on the prosecutor’s allegation, Sambo allegedly committed the alleged premeditated murder along with his wife Putri Candrawathi, Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada E, Ricky Rizal or Bripka RR and Strong Ma’ruf.
Yosua’s murder took place on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Sambo Official Residence No. 46 at Police Compound, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. In the indictment, Richard and Sambo are said to have shot Yosua.
The background of the murder is said to be that Putri had molested Yosua while he was in Magelang on Thursday, July 7, 2022. This allegation was denied by Yosua’s family.
As for the case of allegedly obstructing the investigation, Sambo is said to have committed a crime along with Hendra Kurniawan, Agus Nurpatria Adi Purnama, Arif Rachman Arifin, Irfan Widyanto, Chuck Putranto and Baiquni Wibowo.
