TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Former Head of the Profession and Security Division of the Indonesian National Police Inspector General Ferdy Sambo finally admitted to the murder of Brigadier J alias Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat. Ferdy’s confession was conveyed during an examination by a special team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Mobile Brigade Corps Headquarters (Mako Brimob) Kelapa Dua, Depok, last Thursday, August 11, 2022.
Ferdy’s confession was conveyed by the Director of General Crimes of the National Police Bareskrim Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi. According to Andi, Ferdy admitted that he had planned the murder Brigadier J since from Magelang.
“FS said he was angry and emotional after receiving a report from his wife PC who had experienced an act that hurt the dignity of the family that occurred in Magelang by Brigadier J,” he said at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Kelapa Dua, Depok, Thursday 11 August 2022.
The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, also explained that during this emotion, Ferdy Sambo called Bharada E alias Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu and Brigadier Ricky Rizal, who had also been named as suspects.
“To plan the murder of Brigadier J. The point is that there is something that makes the suspect emotional and angry,” he said.
Ferdy’s confession adds to the chronology of the murder of Brigadier J.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit said on Tuesday that the shooting took place at the official residence at the Police Complex, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. Ferdy is said to have ordered Bharada E to shoot Joshua.
“The Timsus found that the incident that occurred was the shooting of Brother J which caused the death of Brother J, which was carried out by Brother RE on the orders of Brother FS,” said the National Police Chief.
In his statement last weekend, Bharada E stated that he was originally on the second floor of Ferdy’s official residence. He admitted to going downstairs after hearing the noise.
Arriving at the first floor, Bharada E claimed to have seen Ferdy holding a gun while Brigadier J was lying on the ground covered in blood. He also admitted that he was ordered by Ferdy to shoot his fellow member of the Indonesian National Police.
