Ferdinand Pérez Undergoes Prosperous Surgery After Cancer Diagnosis
San Juan, Puerto Rico – Puerto Rican television presenter Ferdinand Pérez successfully underwent surgery today to remove a cancerous tumor, his family announced in a statement. The tumor was detected early, according to the family, who expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support received from fans, colleagues, adn the public.
the statement did not disclose the type or location of the tumor. However, this marks the second time Pérez has been diagnosed with cancer; he received a previous diagnosis on September 14, 2023, and completed treatment for it over the past two years.
“His family is infinitely grateful for the prayers that thousands and thousands of Puerto Ricans began last night. They also appreciate all the messages and expressions of affection they have received,” the family statement read.
Pérez is known as the host of the sports analysis program “Jugando pelota dura” on TeleOnce, where he made an emotional return to the screen after completing his prior cancer treatment.
The family has requested privacy as Pérez begins his recovery in the coming weeks, stating they will share any significant updates regarding his condition if necessary. They concluded their statement with a renewed request for prayers,”Again,thank you all for your prayers and let us keep them now for this recovery process.”
