Yesterday, Meta announced that guitar manufacturer Fender and BMW’s brand Mini have built virtual worlds in Meta’s metaverse platform Horizon Worlds. The two companies are the two most recent in a growing number of companies and brands that have presented investments in metaverse recently.
Fender’s virtual world in Horizon Worlds will be called Stratoverse while Mini’s virtual world will be named MINIverse. On Fender’s guitar-shaped Stratoverse Island in Horizon Worlds, visitors will be able to look up different guitar chords as well as play music virtually with each other.
In MINIverse it will be possible to glide around in digital versions of Mini cars. Up to four visitors should also be able to compete against each other on different racing tracks that will be built in MINIverse. Stratoverse and MINIverse can be visited in Horizon Worlds now for Meta Quest 2 users in the US and Canada.
