Federal orders 20 million mask filters from two Belgian companies

The pandemic has claimed 202,994 lives worldwide since its onset in December in China. 193 countries and territories are affected.

United States, who recorded their first coronavirus-related death in early February, are the most affected country in terms of both deaths and cases, with 53,934 deaths for 939,249 cases. At least 105,818 people were declared cured there.

After the United States, the most affected countries are Italy, with 26,384 deaths for 195,351 cases, Spain with 23,190 deaths (226,629 cases), France with 22,614 deaths (161,488 cases), and the United Kingdom with 20,319 deaths (148,377 cases).

The China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao), where the epidemic began in December, has officially counted in total 82.827 cases (11 new between Saturday and Sunday), including 4,632 deaths (0 new), and 77,394 cures.

Europe totals 122,846 deaths for 1,367,124 cases, the United States and Canada 56,450 deaths (984,280 cases), Latin America and the Caribbean 7,967 deaths (161,109 cases), Asia 7,958 deaths (199,558 cases), the Middle East 6,286 deaths (152,033 cases), Africa 1,379 deaths (30,341 cases), and Oceania 108 deaths (8,013 cases).
