Lima – The speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the glorious Feast of the Throne is “realistic and gives rise to hope”, underlined the Peruvian expert in international relations, Ricardo Sanchez Serra.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. Sanchez Serra said the royal speech is “realistic, because it establishes a true diagnosis of the situation currently facing the Kingdom due to the coronavirus epidemic, like all countries of the world, and arouses hope through the package of measures announced ”by HM the King to overcome the crisis caused by this pandemic.

In this sense, he recalled that the Sovereign indicated in the Speech from the Throne that 33.7 billion dirhams were mobilized within the framework of a special fund to finance social support measures and obtain the necessary medical equipment, in addition to the allocation of five billion to the Central Guarantee Fund (CCG) and the injection of around 120 billion dirhams into the national economy.

Mr. Sanchez Serra added that the economic measures taken by Morocco as well as those announced by HM the King confirm that the Kingdom is able to overcome the repercussions of the epidemic, stressing that the royal speech brings solutions to revive the economy .

The Peruvian expert also recalled that Morocco has adopted since the appearance of the first cases of coronavirus in the country a “proactive approach”, qualifying the management by the Kingdom of the health crisis caused by the epidemic as a “model” for many countries.

In this regard, he returned to the medical aid granted, on High Royal instructions, to many African countries to support their efforts to fight the pandemic, affirming that the Kingdom has shown “solidarity with the countries of the continent in providing them with medical equipment at a time when the world was suffering from a shortage of these products ”.

He also noted that Morocco, which works for the maintenance of peace in Africa and in the world, is a “model” to follow thanks to the reforms it has undertaken in all areas, under the leadership of the Sovereign.
