There are still many people who are afraid of getting the anticovid vaccine. To demonstrate that deaths are decreasing and harmless, the Ministry of Health today showed the results of monitoring adverse effects.
The level of desertion of the demand for anticovid vaccine continues to be important, especially to deal with the little ones slight increase in cases that you are entering again. The Doctor Ettore Castro, director of the expanded immunization program, explained that the 12% of people who received the first dose did not go on to receive the second.
“It seems little, but this implies an approximation of 500,000 people who do not have the second dose. Furthermore, the dropout rate rises to 54% when it comes to the third dose ”, she explained. Therefore, she stressed that many people still have fear of getting vaccinated and showed evidence of adverse effect monitoring.

What does health say about the effects of the vaccine
“There are people who say vaccines aren’t safe, but the evidence indicates they are,” Castro said. So far, reported 2,642 cases of adverse effectsthat means only 0.031% of the total doses administered.
While 2,213 people had no serious side effects (0.026% of total doses administered). Those citizens reported arm pain and fever, for example.
On the other hand, only the 0.005% of the total of the effects generated by anticovid doses, i.e. only 429 people have reported reactions considered slightly more severe. “They are those people who have requested to spend a few hours under observation or have presented an allergic reaction. There are no related cases of vaccine-related deaths nor brain event,” he clarified.

In children and adolescents, 0.009% of the vaccinated (109 minors) reported adverse effects, of which only 40 had to remain under observation, but none presented significant sequelae.
In this sense, Dr. Castro reiterated that these numbers demonstrate that the risks are much lower than the benefits, as vaccines reduce severe forms of covid, hospitalizations and deaths.
