Joël Drommel is still on his way to PSV, De Telegraaf and the Eindhovens Dagblad report on Sunday evening. The goalkeeper of FC Twente has already been round with the people of Eindhoven for a long time, but both clubs still argued about a lump sum.
According to The Telegraph FC Twente initially demanded 6.5 million euros, but the PSV has now been met. The Tukkers can use the transfer income well and are now satisfied with an amount of 3.5 to four million euros.
In all likelihood, the deal will now close soon. A five-year contract is ready for Drommel in Eindhoven. Interestingly enough, FC Twente contacted PSV itself and breathed new life into the transfer talks.
Drommel’s successor comes from Eindhoven: Lars Unnerstall signed a four-year contract in early March and will go the other way after this season. Yvon Mvogo, currently the first choice in Eindhoven, will be rented from RB Leipzig until 2022. Whether the imminent arrival of Drommel will have consequences for that rental deal remains to be seen.
PSV and FC Twente are close to an agreement about Joël Drommel. It seems that he will be coming to Eindhoven soon. So more.
