Admiral Bundesliga-Leader FC Red Bull Salzburg and sixth in the table SV Guntamatic Ried drew 3-1 (1-1) in the test match at the Taxham training center on Tuesday afternoon. Head coach Matthias Jaissle: “Ried was already a good opponent in the championship. That’s why I’m happy with today’s win, it was a very decent game from us. After all, we’re in the middle of the preparations, and our legs are a little tired. In the second half we had a team on the pitch that was under 20 years old on average and everyone showed what they could do.”
Karim Adeyemi: “It wasn’t easy today because Ried can play football very well and made life quite difficult for us. But in the end it was a good test against good opponents and we’re happy. For me personally, my goal today was a nice present for my 20th birthday.”
After both teams diligently made use of the friendly substitution quota, the Red Bulls took the lead again immediately after the break thanks to the Admiral Bundesliga’s top scorer, Karim Adeyemi (46′). Before central defender Oumar Solet (75th min.) made it 3-1.

Not present at RB Salzburg today were Bernardo, Sekou Koita, Bryan Okoh, Nicolas Seiwald (all rehab after knee surgery), Zlatko Junuzovic (heel), keeper Alexander Walke (calf injury), Rasmus Kristensen and Luka Sucic (both with a cold) and Mohamed Camara and Jerome Onguene (both at the Africa Cup of Nations). Defender Albert Vallci completed part of the training session with his teammates yesterday after a long injury break.
This time the six FC Liefering youngsters Benjamin Atiabou, Amankwah Forson, Dijon Kameri, Dorgeles Nene, Samson Tijani and Lukas Wallner to use.
The Austrian series champion will play the next test match at the same place of work next Saturday against another good friend from the Admiral Bundesliga – FC Flyeralaram Admira Wacker (January 22, 3 p.m., Taxham training center).
SV Ried will also play their next test match in four days and will face second division club FC Juniors OÖ (2:00 p.m.) in the Upper Austrian duel in the athletics stadium in Ried.
