Father of Shraddha Satish demands justice for daughter’s death in Amal Jyoti College hostel

Kochi: Satish, the father of Shraddha, who committed suicide at Kanjirapally Amal Jyoti College Hostel, has demanded strict action against those responsible, whoever investigates her daughter’s death. The general public should understand how much the students are suffering in a college where there is no student movement. He was reacting to Minister R Bindu’s statement that the investigation into the case related to Shraddha’s death has been handed over to the Crime Branch.

No investigation has been conducted against those responsible for the death of the daughter who died in the college hostel. The police say that they are not there. The police said that there is no CCTV camera in the college hostel, but when I said that I saw it, the police said that they did not see it. No investigation is being conducted against the accused. Instead, they took away her daughter’s mobile phone and laptop. Our statement was taken. Now the police have tried to make us responsible for the death of our daughter. The minister said that the investigation has been handed over to the crime branch. “Whoever investigates, those responsible for my daughter’s death should be found and they should be punished,” Shraddha’s father Satish said.

Ernakulam Thripunithura native Shraddha Satish was found dead in the Kanjirapally Engineering College hostel a few days ago. Shraddha was a second year food technology student. But the family alleged that there were bad interventions on the part of the college authorities.

Minister R Bindu said that the investigation into Shraddha’s death has been handed over to Crime Branch. The crime branch investigation will be led by DYSP.
