“Father died without achieving his dreams.” The story of the musician Alisa Hayim

Now I have lived through it all and processed it in my head that being different and different is good,” says Alice Haijima.

Alice discovers that she still longs for her father. “I got my musical skills from him, he taught me to be strong, he was also the only person who wholeheartedly supported me in music.” Alice has fond memories of her childhood in Japan, where her father took her to karaoke bars every week to sing – as you know, Japan is the birthplace of karaoke.

“My father died without achieving my dreams. I was afraid that the same thing would happen to me. I have a huge workaholism,” says Alice, telling how after overworking studying, working and participating in concerts, she ended up in the death ward of the hospital.

She feels the responsibility to express herself in music as much as possible – so that her father achieves his dreams through her. “Because his dreams are my dreams.”

Alice’s family are all academically educated people, and there are no musicians among them. Throughout her life, Alice has received greeting cards from her relatives on her birthdays with wishes for success in her studies, but there has never been a wish for success in music…

“Now my family supports me. It took us a long time to get to this position where we are. We have agreed that you have to believe in your dreams, you have to try to realize your dreams. I always try to show that I am working, that it is not just a phase, that I I want to be a star, that I want to be a singer. It’s really my life’s ambition, I work for it and I’m not afraid to put in the work. And that’s how I finally convinced my mom and other relatives that I’m serious about it.”
