In the Tatra Valley za Bramką, on Sunday, August 9, a climber tragically fell. The man fell off the rock wall, dying on the spot – said Tomasz Wojciechowski, the rescuer on duty at TOPR.

The notification to the TOPR headquarters in Zakopane arrived around 10:30.
“In the area of Dolina za Bramką, accidental tourists found the body of a climber. TOPR rescuers who came to the scene found that there was a fall from a great height, as a result of which the climber was killed on the spot” – reported the rescuer.
There were no witnesses of the incident itself, but rescuers assume that the tragedy happened on Sunday in the early morning hours. The climbing equipment found next to the man proves that he was a qualified climber.
The police establish the personal details of the man and the investigators explain the circumstances of the incident.
