French producer Wassim Beji and SND decided to recall the classic films of the 20th century. For this they will not regret spending many kilometers of film.
The fact is that the other day, Beji and his partner acquired the rights to the film adaptation of the famous detective novels about the supervillain Fantomas, to whom a full-length film and series will be dedicated. The producer intends to dedicate these projects to the dark roots of the antagonist’s history.
It is known that Fantômas as a character was created by the authors Marcel Allen and Pierre Souvestre in 1911 and already in 1912 the first silent film was made about him. Of course, Fantomas of the 1960s was remembered more than him: it was a comedy trilogy from French filmmakers, which, by the way, fell in love with the Soviet audience, reports Variety.
