The perpetrator strangled Alexander Kolker and then stabbed him. A criminal investigation into attempted murder has been launched into the incident.
In St. Petersburg, the famous Soviet and Russian composer Alexander Kolker was attacked with a knife. The agency reported Interfax.
It is noted that the incident occurred on February 20.
According to media reports, shortly before the attack, Kolker went to the grocery store. On the way, he was joined by an unknown man who volunteered to escort the composer to his apartment. In the elevator, the “fan” suddenly attacked the musician and began to choke him, and then wounded him with a knife. After that, the offender fled the scene, and threw the knife at the entrance.
The victim barely reached the apartment and called the police, but refused to be hospitalized.
According to the police on February 21, the identity and whereabouts of the suspect in the attack were established in “hot pursuit”. A 46-year-old resident of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was detained in one of the hostels.
A criminal case has been opened on attempted murder.
Kolker is the author of musicals, operettas, rock operas, music for plays and films, in particular for paintings Chronicles of a dive bomber, Krechinsky’s wedding, Truffaldino from Bergamo, Three in a boat, not counting the dog.
