It took 8 months for the pre-trial proceedings to be transferred to the National Investigation Agency, but they stopped it in May 2021 due to lack of grounds to reopen it. There is an awful lot of new information, but no charges have been brought, Mario Milanov from Dupnitsa said today in the program “The Questions” on TV1. His brother Janek went missing on July 31, 2020.

He was last seen getting into the car of Vasil Kaplanov-Kaplata, a former security guard of the Galevi Brothers, who was never charged. “Kaplata continues to run rampant, harassing Nedev’s family (the witness who saw Janek Milanov calling himself in the car, b.a.), who has been guarded by the police for more than a year. There is also a secret witness, whose identity, however, is known to Kaplanov, by harassing him too,” emphasized Mario Milanov.

He specified that Kaplanov was arrested for threatening to kill and illegal possession of ammunition. There was no serious investigation into the disappearance of Janek Milanov, who received threats from him.
