As a regular player I can say: Yes, with the “Wastelanders” update they have added NPCs, and there is a lot to do. Steel Dawn, which I played in the Beta is also a nice addition. Especially for CAMP builders.

HOWEVER: The RNG is still broke if you want good guns. Someone on Reddit had calculated, if you want 1 specific endgame weapon, with certain perks, it can take up to 18,000 rolls to get 1. Same with armor.

Well, if you’re not into it too hardcore and just want some fun, this is a great game now. Still a bit buggy here and there, but hey, those are just Bethesda features.
