Fall Steam Games Festival. Hundreds of games in demo versions, including Polish productions

Steam has been organizing festivals since last year games. The fall edition started on October 7th and will last until Tuesday, October 13th, 19:00. During the festival they are presented games in demo versions, the condition for participation in the event is the premiere of the game scheduled in the next six months.

The Fall Steam Games Festival has hundreds of games

During the fall festival, players get the chance to watch the presentation of games, most often while the game is streamed by the developers. What’s more interesting, the Games Festival Steam brings back to life the institution of the demo version. In the past, its release was the basis for the promotion of the game, then this custom disappeared. It turns out, however, that players are eager to test the game before buying it, and the developers want more demos.

We see the platform’s increased commitment to promoting the demo version of the games. In addition, the dates of three subsequent editions have already been announced, which will probably fit into the annual Steam calendar of events, as well as the well-known Summer Sale and Winter Sale. We perceive this information very positively. In our opinion, the organization of such activities is Steam’s response to comments made by many developers who complained that the demo versions of the games have not been promoted sufficiently on the platform so far.

Hundreds of games are presented during the festival, and the involvement of players allows us to meet their expectations and refine the productions. – In the summer edition in which we participated, over 900 games from authors from as many as 65 countries were presented. We evaluate the participation in this event very positively. We have collected valuable feedback from players about the productions we are publisher, which allowed us to better address each game to the target audience – says Mateusz Zawadzki, president of Ultimate Games. He adds that thanks to the festival, their projects have attracted the attention of a new community of players.
