Aston Villa failed to take over the top of the standings Premier League. It was because of the 0-3 defeat from Leeds United.
Aston Villa vs Leeds took place at Villa Park, Saturday (24/10/2020) in the morning WIB. The two teams played a goalless draw in the first half.
Leeds managed to kill Aston Villa in the second half. Patrick Bamford scored three goals.
This victory led Leeds to temporarily sit in third place in the Premier League standings with 10 points from six matches. Aston Villa stuck to second with 12 pounds from five games and failed to take over top of the table from Everton.

The course of the match
Despite playing as the host, Aston Villa had to withstand the onslaught of Leeds from the first minute. There is Helder Costa, who threatened Aston Villa’s goal in the first minute. He opened fire from inside the penalty box, but the opponent’s defense could be blocked.
Despite continuing to pound, Leeds were only able to create a shot on target in the 12th minute through Ezgjan Alioski. The ball shot from outside the penalty box was successfully secured by Emiliano Martinez.
The new Aston Villa could make a threat in the 16th minute. Ross Barkley opens a shot from distance, but the ball is secured by Illan Meslier.
Slowly but surely, Aston Villa took control of the game. Jack Grealish opened fire from inside the penalty box in the 25th minute, which had yet to produce a goal after being blocked by the defender.
There were no goals and golden opportunities were created after that. The first half was complete goalless.
The second half was disastrous for Aston Villa who were in control of the game. Leeds designed a fast counter-attack in the 55th minute. Rodrigo Moreno then got room to open fire. Martinez pushed the ball away, but Patrick Bamford grabbed the rebound. 1-0 Leeds taking the lead.
Leeds increased the lead to 2-0 in the 67th minute. Bamford’s shot from the front of the penalty box beat Martinez.
The Leeds counter-attack failed again by Aston Villa. Helder Costa moved from the right into the Aston Villa penalty box and thrust at Bamdford. Was flanked by two opposing players, but Bamford scored a hat-trick after directing the ball to the right corner of Martinez’s goal. Leeds 3-0 lead.
Aston Villa seemed without a fight in the second half. Several opportunities failed to be created in the remaining time. The final 3-0 score lasted for Leeds’ victory.
