The case is that a fake birth certificate was produced for a couple natives of Tripunithura by mentioning the name of the birth that did not take place in the medical college. Later on, the fake seal and signature of the medical college superintendent was affixed on the certificate made as per Anilkumar’s request. Rahna, a temporary employee of the Kalamaseri Municipal Corporation, collects birth and death information in the medical college and issues the certificate. Anil Kumar approached Rahna in the name of learning how to register births and deaths. Anil Kumar reached the kiosk at 12 noon last Wednesday and asked Rahna to take a printout of a file. Rahna informed that the certificate will be printed only if the bystander comes and convinces the information. Anil Kumar, who returned with the file, arrived with a bystander in the afternoon. Rahna also said that Anil Kumar asked to be informed if the certificate is issued. Rahna keeps the secret code to record the birth-death details and print the certificate. No printing may be done without Rahna’s knowledge or consent. On Friday, Medical Superintendent Ganesh Mohan called Rahna and inquired after receiving information from the labor room that a fake file had been created that the delivery had taken place.
