Fajar/Rian Diligent to Final, This is the Secret

Jakarta

Dawn Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto back to the final by breaking through the top match Malaysia Masters 2022. This will be the sixth final for Fajar/Rian in 2022.

Fajar/Rian qualified for the final of the Malaysia Masters 2022 after defeating the host pair, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik, in the last four at the Axiata Arena, Saturday (9/7/2022). The Swiss Open 2022 champion won three games with a score of 21-14, 19-21, 21-10.

“Thank God we were able to return to the final. Today we tried to play more comfortably and calmly because the opponent was the host with so many supporters. So we should not be affected,” said Rian in his written statement, after the match.

Fajar/Rian got a sharp spotlight following a bad result at the beginning of 2022. However, they have now become one of the most consistent men’s doubles in the final.

The Malaysia Masters 2022 final will be Fajar/Rian’s sixth final at the BWF World Tour in 2022. From the previous five finals, Fajar/Rian won twice, namely at the Swiss Open and the Indonesia Masters.

“We learned from the mistakes in the two early 2022 tournaments (Germany and All England), evaluating what we lacked so that now we can start to be consistent. We hope that in the future we can continue to be consistent,” said Rian, who was also a finalist at the Malaysia Open 2022 last week.

“After Germany and the All England, nothing changed, we just focused on our thoughts. From the All England, there were almost no breaks in the tournament, so we didn’t have any changes in training,” said Fajar about the training program.

Fajar/Rian will face Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan in the final of the Malaysia Masters 2022, Sunday (10/7/2022). Referring to head to head, Fajar/Rian only won once over Hendra/Ahsan from the three meetings they played.

“What is certain is that, thank God, whoever wins tomorrow will still be Indonesia,” said Fajar.

“But we want to win, to increase confidence. Against Ahsan / Hendra, they are very experienced. We have to anticipate, be more relaxed and can’t be in a hurry,” he added.
