KOMPAS.com – Pilkada voting Solo 2020 saw the expulsion of witnesses from the candidate pair (candidate pair) Bagyo Wahyono-FX Supardjo (Bajo).
Witness Bajo was asked to leave TPS 18, Pucangsawit Village, Jebres, Solo by the Mayor of Solo, FX Hadi Rudyatmo, Wednesday (9/12/2020).
The action was carried out after Rudy voted at the polling station not far from his house.
According to him, residents took issue with the existence of the Bajo witness who came from outside the city.
However, the Bajo party confirmed that the witnesses were in accordance with the procedures and fulfilling the KPU regulations.

Worried about corona
“It’s nothing, I just want to protect my people,” said Rudy as quoted from TribunSolo.com, Wednesday (9/12/2020).
The man who served as Chairman of the DPC PDIP Solo was surprised by his rival team because it brought many witnesses from out of town.
“Just to be a witness, why should it be from Kudus,” said Rudy.
Finally, the witness moved outside the TPS, which was in a more open place.

It turned out that rejection also occurred elsewhere in Solo.
Rudy received information from many witnesses who had just come to Solo.
“The problem is the witnesses. Because many of the witnesses (candidate pairs 02) came from outside the city. Starting yesterday there was a riot. Because PKPU allows it is up to it. But these residents are afraid of Covid-19,” said Rudy.
Residents who knew the witness’s whereabouts also asked to leave the place to stay.
“Finally they were told to leave. Currently there are hotels and hotels where I don’t know,” he said.

The Bajo bearers spoke up
The head of the Rat Pithi Hanata Baris mass organization as the bearer of Bajo Tuntas Subagyo admitted that many of his witnesses came from outside the city.
They came to Solo the day before.
However, Tuntas ensured that the witnesses had been equipped with a mandate letter and the results of the non-reactive rapid test.
He also talked about the news about the expulsion of witnesses from their place of stay.
“Actually, if the expulsion is not done. Only last night there was one building that was indeed an educational building. Politically, it cannot be occupied. We are aware,” he said.
“Finally we moved. So there is no problem,” said Tuntas.

Candidate for mayor of Solo number 2 Bagyo Wahyono also alluded to the problem when he lost the quick count version of his rival Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
According to him, the existence of friction at the lower level is a natural thing.
“Such a problem is a natural thing. This is political. So there is little fuss for that shock therapy we seemed to be careless it could be, “he said.
According to him, evictions such as those in Pucangsawit were due to a lack of understanding of regulations.
“The friction in Pucangsawit is only due to the lack of understanding (KPU regulations). It doesn’t matter. We have brought a letter from the KPU. Witnesses from outside are allowed. From Bu Nurul (KPU Chair) has given that explanation,” said Bagyo in Solo, Central Java , Wednesday night.
Bagyo also considered the defeat of Gibran a common thing in politics.
“The problem of losing or winning is normal. For learning,” said Bagyo.
This said the KPU and Bawaslu

He stressed that witnesses can only be rejected when they do not bring a mandate and rapid test letter.
“But if the problem comes from outside the city, it cannot be rejected because there is no PKPU stipulation that the witness is from or a voter from the electoral district or at the TPS,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Bawaslu Solo, Budi Wahyono, confirmed that the problem has been resolved.
Witnesses from out of town are allowed to re-monitor the election process at the polling station.
“As long as they carry a letter of mandate from the campaign team and the rapid test. And this has been completed earlier,” he said.
