Recently, there was a scene on social media with a video of a hijab-wearing girl in India who seemed to be blocked when she was about to enter the campus.
The woman, named Muskan Khan, shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and kept going against the crowd of men who intimidated her amid the hijab controversy that started on a campus in Karnataka district.
The video also drew the spotlight of many parties including several Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.
Rumors spread on social media that the two had given the young girl five crore rupees (Rp 9.4 billion) in recognition of her bravery.
Several Pakistani Twitter users also shared the post, claiming that this is true.
According to some social media posts, Salman and Aamir Khan have awarded Muskan Khan 3 crore rupees, while the Turkish government will pay him 2 crore as a reward for his bravery in shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ in public while wearing a hijab.
However, this news has no valid evidence that can justify it. Muskan Khan, a veiled woman who carries the slogans Allahu Akbar, does not accept money from Salman Khan or the Turkish government. In his investigation a local media there revealed that the news was fake news.
Reporting from koimoi.com he also denied claims related to the actor who gave him the money. Another claim that the Turkish government gave awards to protesters in Karnataka is also unfounded.
However, Muskan Khan has indeed been given credit for his protests. Zeeshan Siddiqui, a Congressional MLA from Bandra in Mumbai, visited the hijab girl’s house in Mandya and presented her with an iPhone and a smartwatch.
Who is Muskan Khan?
It is known that Muskan Khan is a college student at PES College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Karnataka. She has now become an icon of pro-Hijab girls across India.
It was further informed that Muskan Khan made headlines when a video showing him shouting takbir ‘Allahu Akbar’ to a group of students who refused to wear Muslim clothing on campus went viral on social media.
The video of Muskan Khan shows himself being booed upon arriving at the campus in Karnataka for wearing a headscarf by students dressed in saffron. He didn’t even stop when they started to surround him.
“When you’re free to take off your clothes, why can’t I be free to use my clothes?” said Muskan Khan.
