1. Only Rp. 32 Million Back

Contacted customer detikcom Maria Trihartarti said that 7 years ago she was offered a health insurance product by a friend. The product is called covering the health of their children.

“But from the start I never explained if the money would be lost. At AIA I paid via auto debit Rp. 1 million and it has entered the 7th year, meaning that the money has entered Rp. 85 million but only Rp. 32.6 million has returned,” he said when contacted.

2. Agent Does Not Explain

Maria said the party asuransi AIA gave an explanation that this happened because the reason the national economy was dropping so that it affected the money in the policy.

In fact, what Maria and other customers are having a problem with is the agent who doesn’t explain the details from the start. This really disappointed him. “The problem is the pre-policy, where is the consumer protection? The agent or insurance should have explained to the general public about its products, so don’t just lure it,” he added.

Titin Herlianah also explained that these agents did not provide clear information regarding these products. Usually these agents offer products to customers at bank branch offices.

“Before buying an insurance product, you really have to ask for details, if necessary, record what the agent said when explaining,” he explained.

3. AIA’s response
