While hundreds of supporters failed to gain access to the room scheduled to host the meeting of the candidate of rebellious France, the deputy began his speech outside.

In Bordeaux on Monday, while the room reserved by Jean-Luc Mélenchon was full, welcoming 1,500 people, hundreds of supporters were forced to stay at their doorstep for lack of space. The presidential candidate therefore decided to start his meeting in the street.
“I am told: ‘Do you feel alone? Not at all! Am I alone tonight?'” he said outside, at the door of his meeting room.

“The fact that you say to each other ‘we are still outside together’ shows the political complicity that exists between us. You have understood perfectly that we are making a show of force”, explained the deputy again.
Would Jean-Luc Mélenchon have paid for a publicity stunt by voluntarily reserving a room that is too small? No, replies his team.
“It has been reserved since December and we have been overwhelmed by the dynamic. We will not complain about it and we will try to adapt better next time”, promised parliamentarian Bastien Lachaud, in charge of the organization of events at the microphone of BFMTV.

This trip to Bordeaux was also an opportunity for the boss of the rebellious to once again pass a harsh judgment on the Popular Primary, this internal competition on the left which aims for a single candidacy.
“At 70 days from the first round there are better things to do than an obscure primary (…). These are obscure tricks to agree or bring a rabbit out of the hat”, still estimated the elected official in targeting Christiane Taubira, the only main candidate who will recognize the result this Sunday.
