Without leaving behind the idea of turning its platforms into comprehensive systems that can include payments, that is why I launched the Facebook Pay payment system, which is already beginning to work in Mexico and in other regions of the country.
This in order to facilitate payment between users, but based on the existing infrastructure. The payment system will allow users to buy a garment they saw on the social network or to simply take advantage of an offer.
In addition, users will be able to buy in large and small businesses through Facebook and Instagram; send money simply and safely through Messenger.
To access this application you must follow the following steps:
- Open the Facebook menu by clicking on the “hamburger” option at the bottom right.
- Scroll down and select settings and privacy to display the menu and select settings.
- Select Facebook Pay
- The application will open and you can add a credit, debit or PayPal card.

With this Facebook function you can buy items in the virtual platform market, send money to your friends or support a cause through a fundraiser on Facebook and Instagram.
This form of payment will be encrypted with a personalized PIN number and the user’s biometric data (fingerprint and facial recognition), which will protect them from unauthorized transactions.
If Facebook Pay does not appear on your platform yet, you will have to be patient and check back later, as it is gradually being implemented worldwide.
